Paypal as an option for points purchase
As a way of mitigating risk from cc data being stored, would be great to be able to purchase points via PayPal.

Tipping a repost pays original creator as default
User scenario: Joan creates a work of art and posts it. John reposts Joan's post. Emily likes the art and tips John's post.
Problem: John gets the tip, even though Joan created the content.
Quick solution: tips always go to the creator of the most-embedded post.
Longer-term solution: The tip confirmation screen defaults to paying the original poster, but a drop-down menu allows the tipper to direct the tip to someone else. This would cover a situation where the reposter is disagreeing with, or transforming, the original post.

See Full Tip History, where the Tip occurred, and who tipped on a specific post
Not a rush, but would be great to:
1) Have access to our full Tip history, not just the most recent ones.
2) For each tip in the log, have a link to the post or profile page where the tip was made.
3) From a specific post, for just our tips obviously, see who tipped us on that post and how much each person tipped, so we don't have to go thru the Tips History log to try and figure out which posts are getting the most Tip engagement.

Anonymous vs named tips
I have received two tips on a piece of original writing! I know this is super small beans but I felt so encouraged. I wish, however that I had been able to thank these persons. Maybe offer "Anonymous tip" OR "Tip with first name/alias" so people can do thank you posts IF they feel so inclined and people can tip with the amount of identity with which they feel comfortable?

Apple Pay option
This option either isn’t working, or I’m missing something obvious to make it work. When I click to Add, it briefly flashes a pop up and then goes into perpetual wait mode.
So, my idea is either fix it or dummy proof it. I’m looking forward to paying for content…not looking forward to using my credit card directly.

Wallet - removing a credit card from wallet
RIght now you can only add a new card to wallet, you can't remove a card. The three dots next to an existing card do not work -- assume this a feature that will be added later on?

18 votesOur team is working on ways to best support comment-tip integration. Until then, users can show gratitude by navigating to a commenters' profiles by tapping their Display Names within the comments and sending a tip to their profile page.

Receipt for payments / deposits
Would be great to be able to click on "Deposits Dashboard" and see a list of deposits we've made, be able to print these out. I assume that's what this dashboard is for? I've used my credit card to purchase a bunch more Points for tipping, but never received a receipt. Receipts would be MUCH appreciated for not only helping prove our payments if (ahem) our points happened to disappear, but also essential when tax time comes around. Fingers crossed!

Paywall/Tip Threshold
Perhaps creators could set a points threshold on paywalled posts. For example, if a post reaches 500 points, then the paywall drops and the post is open for everyone. I would be happy to tip more as a form of paying it forward so that quality content is available to those without access to points (while making sure that creators are compensated as they see fit!).

Ability to connect outside accounts to contributors accounts
I imagine I will come across posts from the Washington Post or the NY Times that have a “Read for 5 pts” button. As a current paying subscriber to those news sources, that will irk me. Most likely I will be able to manually browse to their website and find the content to read it without the need to pay twice for the same content. But that will be a hassle and I’ll likely choose not to bother most times.
It would be awesome if Post would allow account connections between Creators and Consumers such that if they already have…

Pay without saving card
Similar to removing a payment method, I would prefer to pay without saving my payment info at all. Similar to an ‘order as guest’ feature. Please consider allowing me to transactionally add points without storing my payment information.

Cybersecurity - Payment Methods
Without 2FA/MFA features for accounts, do storage of payment methods (CR and DR cards) comply with PCI DSS standards? With current cybersecurity risks, e.g. the recent hacking of millions of Optus and Medibank customers' data in Australia, feels risky to enter payment methods for accounts that would be pretty easy to hack without 2FA/MFA.

Flag posts you have already tipped.
I just had to go back and review my payment history to see if I had actually tipped someone's post before. It would be nice to know if I've already tipped a specific post, and perhaps how much in case I want to increase it, WHILE I am actually reading it.
I'd consider this a relatively low-priority feature request, but worth keeping on the back burner and getting to eventually.

Automated message of thanks
I would like to be able to send a message to say thanks to people who tip me. Rather than writing a post, could there be some kind of optional automated set-up (maybe in conjunction with invoicing) that sends a thank you message to tippers. Even better if tip receivers could personalised the wording of messages sent to tippers.

Im an artist/illustrator
I just started on post after waiting to get on for about a week. Im originally coming from twitter. I deactivated some time ago after having a large following mostly because my art was no longer making any headway, when previous years I was actively selling on that platform. I am just hoping that Post will somehow figure out how to put light on its creative community so that we dont get drown out by all the politics. It just seems to be another twitter, in that way. Set default/custom tip amount
I see the default tip amount has been raised from 5 to 25 points today. I get you’re testing out what works best and that you obviously want to "upsell" us to tip larger amounts. Not sure if it will continue increasing over time (it was 3 points a couple weeks ago).
With that in mind, would love to have an option to set custom default Tip amounts (one would be good, but having at least a few custom options would be even better. Or, maybe even let us set all 4 visible options, to replace the defaults?).

3rd payment option: prompt to pay
I hope local and regional English-language news orgs around the world (e.g. The Kyiv Independent) will start using Post when it goes public. Their websites are free to read, but they ask for donations to support them. What would match their business model and help them, I think, is a third option for a post, prompting for a payment/tip with a suggested amount. I’m sure it would earn them more money than simply hoping for tips, and it would save them having to ask for a tip at the end of each article (and making a post paid-for when it’s…
